Two-Stage Tire Building Machine (16"–22" PCR)
A matched first-stage and second-stage machine set for 16"–22" PCR radial tires: the first stage builds the carcass, the second shapes it and applies belts, cap strip and tread on a twin-station applier.
The Pinshun two-stage building machine set covers Ø16"–Ø22" semi-steel radial tires. The first-stage machine builds the carcass using finger-type ply-down with single-bladder turn-up and a push ring, which holds the bead in position, draws the ply down evenly and leaves a dense, smooth turn-up. The second-stage machine then shapes the carcass and applies the belt package, cap strip and tread.
Turn-up bladder pressure is regulated through a proportional valve, so left and right turn-up forces stay equal and constant through the cycle, and the bead setting position is adjusted automatically by a geared motor drive. On the second stage the stitching pressure is set from the operator interface, with several pressures stored so each section of the tire is rolled at the force its process calls for. Bead loading is done at a bead setting disc on the outer end of the push ring, within easy reach of the operator.
Both the building drum and the belt-and-tread drum are radially collapsible, so the working diameter is adjusted freely across the range. The second-stage applier is a twin-station rotating unit — belt and cap strip are applied on one drum while tread is applied on the other — which raises building output substantially.
- First-stage carcass building with finger-type ply-down and single-bladder turn-up
- Proportional-valve bladder control keeps left and right turn-up pressure equal
- Radially collapsible building drum and belt-and-tread drum for in-range size changes
- Three-dimensional stitcher roller on the second stage for dense roll-down with complete air removal
- Twin-station rotating applier: belt and cap strip on one drum, tread on the other
- Ultrasonic tread cutting and heated disc or hook knife belt cutting, with automatic edge correction on the belt feed
