White Sidewall Grinding Line
Grinds the white sidewall band on cured tires from 12" to 20" — servo wheel positioning, 80- and 180-grit two-stage grinding, and ducted extraction to a wet dust room.
The Pinshun white sidewall grinding line finishes the white lettering band on cured tires from 12" to 20", covering outer diameters from 550 to 1,000 mm. Tires arrive on the infeed conveyor and are centred automatically, then the spindle lifts and inflates the tire so the sidewall runs true — parallelism after inflation stays inside 1 mm.
Grinding wheel movement is servo controlled on the vertical, horizontal and angular axes, so lettering widths from 10 to 50 mm and wheel angles up to 25° are set from the control system. Grinding is done in two passes: an 80-grit roughing wheel turning counter-clockwise, then a 180-grit finishing wheel turning clockwise, with tire speed adjustable from 5 to 50 rpm.
Each wheel carries an air knife that blows rubber dust clear of the contact point, and ducting draws the dust into a dedicated dust room. Inside that room a spray system cools the collected dust and provides fire protection.
- Automatic centring, then spindle lift and inflation — sidewall parallelism within 1 mm
- Servo-controlled grinding wheel on vertical, horizontal and angular axes
- Two-stage grinding: 80-grit roughing wheel and 180-grit finishing wheel, counter-rotating
- White lettering width adjustable 10–50 mm, wheel angle 0°–25°
- Air-knife dust clearing with ducted extraction to a dust room
- Dust room spray system for dust cooling and fire protection
