Overview
The semi-automatic apex applying machine shares its full extrusion and cooling line with the fully automatic version: triangular-section apex leaves the extruder die plate onto a take-away conveyor, contracts on a free-shrink roller table with in-line width scanning, and is stabilised on a large-drum cooling station before an accumulator haul-off feeds it to the applying head.
At the applying station the process differs: the operator places each bead core on the applying disc with a foot switch and removes the finished bead-apex assembly onto a transfer trolley, while the applying and splicing cycle itself runs without manual intervention. A safety light curtain guards the applying zone, with emergency stops along the line.
With a 7-second cycle per bead it is the higher-output, lower-investment entry into apexed bead production, and control is built on international-brand components such as AB or Mitsubishi PLCs and servo drives.

Key Features
- Same extrusion, shrink and large-drum cooling line as the fully automatic machine
- Automatic apex splicing - lap splice held to 0-2 mm
- 7 s per bead: up to 800 beads per 2 hours at 16" with 35 mm apex
- Foot-switch operation: place the bead, the applying cycle runs untouched
- Safety light curtain at the applying zone, e-stops along the line
- Upgradeable process: same applying head family as the fully automatic version

Frequently Asked Questions
What bead sizes does the machine handle?
The standard model applies apex to 12"-20" tire beads; a large-size model covers 16"-24". Applying discs are made to match your bead cross-section.
What is the warranty period?
The machine carries a 12-month warranty from acceptance. During the warranty period Pinshun provides free technical service, including replacement of parts that fail under normal use.
What is the delivery time?
Delivery time is flexible and depends on machine configuration and the production schedule - Pinshun confirms a delivery date together with your quotation.
Is installation and training included?
Yes. Pinshun engineers install and commission the machine at your plant with their own tools and materials, then train your operators and maintenance staff until they can run the machine independently.
