Automatic Horizontal Apex Applying Machine
Joins extruded triangular apex to steel bead cores automatically — bead loading, profile cooling, apex applying and unloading all run without an operator touching the parts.
The Pinshun horizontal apex applying machine bonds extruded apex to finished bead cores in one continuous pass. Triangular-section apex leaves the extruder die plate onto a take-away conveyor and runs across a free-shrink roller table, where the hot profile is allowed to contract freely before it is cooled.
A large-drum cooling station stabilises the profile and an accumulator haul-off feeds it into the applying station, where it is wrapped onto the bead. Beads are delivered and clamped by an automatic bead loading unit, and completed bead-apex assemblies are lifted clear by an automatic take-off and set down in the storage station — the operator handles neither the bare bead nor the finished assembly.
The machine sits between bead making and tire building: it takes bead cores from a bead winding machine and delivers apexed beads to the bead setting station of a single-stage or first-stage building machine. Pinshun also supplies the same process in a semi-automatic configuration.
- Continuous flow from extruder die plate to finished bead-apex assembly
- Free-shrink roller table lets the extruded profile contract before cooling
- Large-drum cooling station and accumulator haul-off between extruder and applying head
- Automatic bead loading and clamping — no manual bead handling
- Automatic take-off places finished bead-apex assemblies into the storage station
- Horizontal layout; also available in a semi-automatic configuration
